Foundation Board Members

SCF2_edited_edited.jpg

The Somerset Community Foundation (SCF) is operated by a volunteer board of directors that includes community leaders who are your friends and neighbors. It focuses its efforts on providing funding in the areas of education, human services, civic projects, youth and the environment - as well as fostering the culture of philanthropy.

I became involved with the SCF because I want to pay something forward to the future of Somerset.

Erin Hoff

I became involved with the SCF because I wanted to give back to my community and I love that SCF connects donors to important causes!

We have 3 beautiful children in Somerset schools.  Both my husband and I are teachers and we love the outdoors.

I became involved in the Somerset Community Foundation after being invited to the Celebration of Giving event that is held annually to celebrate the previous year and to award grants.

I was already involved in the Somerset community through the school district; and through my churches efforts to serve the Somerset community and participate as active Chamber of Commerce members.  Becoming a part of the foundation felt like a natural next step to continue to give back to the community and to invest in the future of Somerset.

My husband Sean and I are raising our 2 boys here in Somerset.  We appreciate having a great school district for our children.  We also love the small town feel and easy access to so many great outdoor activities in this area!  We enjoy camping, fishing, and spending time with one another.

I joined the SCF to give back to the community that has supported us from the very beginning. I am excited to see the active support that this organization provides to the many needs of the community. Our company has been in this area for 30 years now, we are grateful for the welcome we received when we decided to locate our company in the Somerset area. We would like to see Somerset manage its future growth and remain a welcoming place for all who decide to settle here.

I work at SMC in the Somerset Industrial Park, one of my main priorities is managing  Community Relations for our company.

I learned about this amazing foundation, when I applied for a Somerset Community Foundation Grant for my 8th grade students here at Somerset Middle School. I was grateful and humbled to receive the extremely generous grant, but it was the people who make up the Foundation and their dedication to this organization and our community that opened my eyes to the unique needs all around us. My two adult children have taught me to be thankful each and every day and I hope my love of education, and my passion for my students and parents can help our community grow stronger together.
